Agreement to these terms
Welcome to TLA USA, a brand of TLA Industries, Inc. (California Contractors State License Board #1159013). By accessing our website at tlausa.com, using our forms to request a 15-Minute Visit, or otherwise interacting with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").
If you don't agree with these Terms, please don't use our website or request our services.
Using our site is free. Requesting a 15-Minute Visit is free and creates no obligation. If we build you a patio cover, that work happens under a separate signed installation agreement with its own terms, warranties, and payment schedule.
Who we are

Eligibility
To use our website or request our services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have the legal authority to enter into contracts.
- Be the property owner, or have written authorization from the property owner, for the location where the patio cover would be installed.
- Provide accurate and complete information.
We reserve the right to decline service to anyone for any lawful reason.
The 15-Minute Visit
The 15-Minute Visit is a free, no-pressure, no-obligation in-home consultation. During the visit:
- A licensed TLA USA representative will measure your space, listen to what you want, and answer your questions.
- You will receive a real, written quote — typically delivered digitally on the same day.
- You are under no obligation to accept the quote, sign anything, or make any decision.
- The representative will leave on time.
Scheduling
Visits are scheduled by our team after you submit our form or contact us by phone or SMS. Availability depends on your location, the season, and our crew schedule. We'll do our best to accommodate your preferred time.
Rescheduling and cancellation
You may reschedule or cancel your 15-Minute Visit at any time by calling or texting 888-768-4TLA or replying to any of our confirmation messages. We ask for at least 24 hours' notice as a courtesy so we can offer the slot to another homeowner.
Quotes & pricing
Quotes provided during or after your 15-Minute Visit are:
- Based on the measurements and conditions observed at your property on the visit date.
- Valid for the time period specified in the quote (typically 30 days).
- Contingent on standard site conditions (accessible work area, code-compliant existing structures, and so on).
- Subject to change if project scope, materials, or site conditions change materially after the quote is issued.
Any pricing shown on our website, marketing materials, or general communications is illustrative only. Your actual project price is what appears on your written, signed installation agreement.
Third-party financing
TLA USA may offer optional financing through independent third-party lenders ("Financing Partners") to help homeowners fund their patio cover project.
TLA Industries, Inc. is not a lender, a broker, or a credit provider. We do not extend credit, we do not accept credit applications directly, and we do not make lending decisions. Any lending relationship is exclusively between you and the Financing Partner.
How financing works through TLA USA
- If you choose to explore financing, we will refer you to a Financing Partner. That Financing Partner has its own application, its own terms, its own disclosures, and its own privacy policy.
- Your lending relationship is governed by the Financing Partner's agreement — not by these Terms.
- Applying for financing is entirely optional. You may pay for your project by cash, check, personal financing you arrange independently, or any other lawful means.
- Approval or denial of financing does not affect our commitment to install your project as agreed in your signed installation agreement. You remain in charge of how you pay.
What TLA USA earns
We may receive a referral fee from a Financing Partner when a homeowner we refer completes an application, funds a loan, or reaches another milestone defined by that partner. Any such fee comes from the Financing Partner — not from you — and does not change the price of your project.
California licensing
Third-party lenders operating in California are subject to state lending laws and licensing requirements administered by the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) or other applicable regulators. Financing Partners we work with hold applicable licenses. You can verify a Financing Partner's licensing status with the DFPI or the applicable regulator.
Payment terms
Your specific payment schedule for the installation — including any deposit, milestone payments, or final payment terms — is set in your signed installation agreement, not in these Terms.
Installation agreements
Website use and the 15-Minute Visit do not create a contract to perform work. If you choose to move forward with an installation, that work is governed by a separate written installation agreement between you and TLA Industries, Inc..
That installation agreement will include (at minimum):
- The scope of work and materials.
- The total price and payment schedule.
- The estimated timeline.
- The specific product warranties provided by TLA Industries, Inc. and by the material manufacturer.
- Terms required by California contractor licensing law, including cancellation rights.
The installation agreement, once signed by both parties, is the binding contract for your project. These Terms of Service continue to govern your use of our website.
Photos & content you provide
When you upload photos of your space through our form, you grant TLA Industries, Inc. a limited, non-exclusive license to store, view, and use those photos for the specific purpose of preparing for and completing your project (measuring, quoting, planning, and installing).
We do not use your project photos in our marketing, social media, or public gallery without your explicit written consent. If we ever want to feature your project as a case study or gallery photo, we'll ask first and get your written approval.
You represent that:
- You have the right to share the photos you upload.
- The photos don't violate anyone else's rights (privacy, copyright, or otherwise).
- The photos are accurate representations of your project space.
Acceptable use
When using our website and services, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Use our forms or contact channels to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
- Interfere with, damage, or disrupt our website or services.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our systems.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, etc.) to submit forms or extract data.
- Violate any applicable law in connection with your use of our website or services.
Warranties & disclaimers
Product and installation warranties — the specific warranties that apply to a completed patio cover installation are described in your signed installation agreement and in the material manufacturer's documentation. Those warranties are the binding warranty terms for your project.
Website disclaimer
Our website, forms, and general communications are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, TLA Industries, Inc. disclaims all warranties, express or implied, with respect to the website itself, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Content on our website — including timelines, sample pricing ranges, photos of completed projects (whether ours or examples of the Alumawood product line), FAQ answers, and other general information — is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee that any specific outcome will apply to your project. Your written quote and installation agreement govern the specifics of your project.
We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law:
- TLA Industries, Inc., its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
- Our total liability arising out of or relating to your use of the website — separate from any liability under a signed installation agreement — is limited to the greater of (a) $100 or (b) the amount you paid us (if any) in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by California law (for example, gross negligence, willful misconduct, or violation of California consumer protection statutes that provide non-waivable rights).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TLA Industries, Inc. and its owners, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or demand (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the website or services, or your violation of applicable law.
Third-party services
Our website uses services provided by third parties, including our hosting provider (Vercel), our CRM (GoHighLevel), our job management platform (Jobber), and others. Your use of those services is subject to the third parties' own terms and policies. TLA Industries, Inc. is not responsible for third-party services or content.
The Alumawood product line is manufactured by Amerimax Building Products, Inc. Product-specific warranties and specifications are governed by Amerimax's own warranty documentation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in our services, our business, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
Your continued use of the website after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Changes to these Terms of Service do not affect the terms of a signed installation agreement, which is a separate binding contract.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to our website at any time, for any lawful reason, without notice. You may stop using our website at any time.
Termination does not affect any signed installation agreement, which continues under its own terms.
The sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Photos & Content You Provide, Warranties & Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law & Disputes) will survive.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of our website will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and TLA Industries, Inc. consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Nothing in this section limits your right to file a complaint with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB), the California Attorney General's Office, or any other consumer protection agency with jurisdiction over TLA Industries, Inc..
California law provides consumers with specific rights that cannot be waived in a contract, including cancellation rights on home solicitation contracts, contractor licensing protections, and rights under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. Nothing in these Terms limits those non-waivable rights.
