Alumawood patio cover over a Southern California backyard

Our Systems

Three patio cover systems, one obsession with doing it right.

Every TLA USA cover is built from premium Alumawood—aluminum engineered to look like real wood, without any of the upkeep. The choice between the three comes down to one thing: how much sky, shade, and weather protection you want overhead.

The Systems

Pick the cover that fits how you live outside.

All three are built to the same standard and finished by the same crew. The difference is the roof overhead—open and airy, fully solid, or solid and insulated for the coolest space of all.

Lattice patio cover filtering sunlight over a patio System 01 · Open-Air Shade

The Laguna Lattice System

Spaced slats filter the sun while letting the breeze move through—cutting sun exposure by roughly 40–60% while keeping that open, airy feel overhead. The look scales from delicate to substantial depending on the slat profile you choose.

  • Slat profiles in 1½″, 2″×2″, and 2″×3″
  • Filters sun while keeping airflow
  • Attached to the house or freestanding
Best for filtered shade and an open-sky feel
Solid panel patio roof with white finish and dark columns System 02 · Full Shade & Weather

The Solid Panel System

A fully watertight roof that blocks sun and rain completely, with clear spans up to 20 feet across the patio. Because it’s 100% aluminum, it won’t rot, warp, or feed termites—and the material carries a limited lifetime warranty.

  • Watertight roof — sun and rain
  • Clear spans up to 20 feet
  • Limited lifetime material warranty
Best for complete shade and year-round protection
Insulated panel patio roof with finished ceiling underside System 03 · Shade, Cooled

The Insulated Panel System

Solid-roof protection with an insulated foam core sealed inside tongue-and-groove panels. The core knocks down heat transfer, so the space underneath stays noticeably cooler on hot afternoons—and quieter when it rains.

  • Tongue-and-groove insulated core
  • Cooler underneath in summer heat
  • Full sun and rain protection
Best for the coolest, most finished room-like space
Every install — backed by a transferable lifetime warranty.
Amerimax's Transferable Limited-Lifetime Warranty covers manufacturing defects for the life of the original purchaser — and transfers with your home. Read the details →

The Aluma-Shield® finish is baked on, not brushed on. It resists fading, chalking, and corrosion—which is why an Alumawood cover keeps its color for decades with nothing more than the occasional rinse.
