Alumawood is a proprietary aluminum patio cover system made by Amerimax Building Products. The extrusions are formed and finished to replicate the grain, texture, and warmth of natural wood — while giving you the strength, longevity, and low maintenance of aluminum.

Traditional wood patio covers look beautiful for a few years. Then they start to weather. Splinter. Warp. The paint peels. Termites move in. Every three to five years, you're re-staining, re-sealing, or replacing boards.

Every Alumawood extrusion is coated in the Aluma-Shield® paint system with a Teflon® surface protector. The color you pick is the color you keep — no re-painting, no color-matching down the road.

What about wood-grain? Alumawood's surface is textured and finished to feel and look like real wood — the grain is embossed into the aluminum. But "wood grain" is a texture, not a color choice. Your five color options are Spanish Brown, Graphite, Mojave, White, and Desert Sand.
